Muscat, August 22

Al Nasr Club secured a significant 4-2 victory over Sohar in the second round match of Omantel League at Al Saada Sports Complex on Wednesday.

The match began with an exchange of attacks between the two teams, with relative control for Al Nasr, who managed to open the scoring in the sixth minute through Awad al Shihri, after Yazeed al Maashani led a counter-attack in which he passed the ball to Al Shihri, who fired a shot that shook the net of Sohar goalkeeper Fayez al Rushaidi.

The two teams continued to exchange attacks, with Al Nasr continuing to dominate the field. In the 22nd minute, Al Nasr was awarded a penalty kick, which Marwan Toaib successfully executed, strengthening his team's lead. Al Nasr almost added a third goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went over Al Rushaidi's crossbar.

Sohar also wasted an opportunity to reduce the difference when Saud al Muqbali missed a good chance to score. Al Nasr doubled attacks, and professional Samuel succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Yazeed al Maashani added the fourth goal for Al Nasr to end the first half with Al Nasr leading 4-0.

In the second half, Al Nasr continued control, but their attacks did not pose a major threat to Sohar's goal. Sohar tried to reduce the difference through counter-attacks but was unable to exploit the available opportunities. The attempts continued from both teams until the 70th minute, where Mohsin Jawhar succeeded in scoring a goal to reduce the difference for Sohar, and the team added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 84th minute. The debate between the two teams continued until the final whistle, with Al Nasr winning 4-2.

With this victory, Al Nasr achieved their first three points in the league, while Sohar's balance remained at three points.
