Omantel League Round 14 kicks off today

Muscat: The 14th round of the Omantel League kicks off on Saturday after the return of international players, with the competition heating up for all positions except the top spot, which Seeb maintain comfortably ahead of their closest rivals. The battle for second place is witnessing a fierce competition between Al Nahda and Oman Club, with both teams tied on points (26) but Al Nahda are ahead on goal difference.


Each team aims to win their upcoming matches to secure the second spot.



Round 13 saw Sohar knock Al Nasr out of fourth place after defeating Al Rustaq. Sohar are now in fourth place with 22 points, one point ahead of Al Nasr. In the middle of the table, Ibri and Al Shabab drew goalless in the previous round, which resulted in Ibri overtaking Dhofar by one point. Ibri are in sixth place with 17 points, while Dhofar are seventh. They are followed by Al Rustaq with 14 points and Sur with 13 points, while Al Shabab are in tenth place with 12 points.



RELEGATION BATTLE


Al Wahda and Bahla continue their struggle at the bottom of the table, with Al Wahda in 11th place with 7 points and Bahla at the bottom with 6 points. The Round 14 of the Omantel League kicks off with exciting matches, with two matches taking place on Saturday evening. Bahla will face Al Rustaq at Al Rustaq Sports Complex, while Sur will face Al Wahda at Sur Sports Complex.



The round's competitions will resume on Sunday evening with four matches. Al Nasr will meet Al Shabab at Al Rustaq Sports Complex, while Al Nahda will face Ibri at Ibri Sports Complex. Sohar will take on Dhofar at Al Saada Sports Complex, and the round will conclude with the strongest match as the second-placed Oman Club challenge leaders Seeb at Al Seeb Stadium. Oman Club will seek to win and reduce the gap and continue to chase the leaders, while the latter enter the match comfortably as they are 9 points ahead of their closest rivals.
