

SALALAH: The Gulf Student Forum for Financial Culture successfully concluded its activities in Dhofar Governorate, emphasising the importance of enhancing financial awareness among school students.
The forum stressed the need to cultivate positive financial behaviours and encouraged the exchange of knowledge and expertise between GCC countries.
Organised by the Ministry of Education under the ‘Instilling Financial Culture Principles in School Students – Khazna’ project, the forum ran for five days. It focused on equipping students with essential financial skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
In her address, Dr Haifa bint Ahmed Al Maamari, Director of the Financial Culture Inculcation Project (Khazna), highlighted the forum’s objective to spread financial awareness among students, particularly those studying in grades 10-12.
The event featured six working papers presented by a certified trainer in investment and financial awareness, alongside recreational and educational activities.
The forum also included dialogue sessions with successful entrepreneurs and a competition for the best project idea. Dr Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, honoured the participants and supporting entities during the ceremony. - ONA
