RAM concludes ‘Train the Trainer Programme’

The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) celebrated the graduation of 24 trainers of ‘Train the Trainer Programme’, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance (Offset) and under the supervision of EIler Executive Education Center at the University of Arizona.


The ceremony was held under the aupices of Mahmoud bin Abdullah al Owaini, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance, and was attended by Dr Ali bin Qasim al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management.


The programme was implemented over two consecutive years, and included a number of trainers from various government units and the private sector. The programme included many discussion panels and educational units that honed the trainees’ skills and raise their efficiency and training capabilities to reach the level of international professionalism at the hands of the most skilled experts.


Dr Ali al Lawati, said that the programme is consistent with the academy’s strategic plans, and also reflects its vision in enhancing executive, leadership and institutional innovation. It also aims to implement programmes that keep pace with Oman Vision 2040 and contribute to building a sustainable base for leaders in government sectors.


Al Owaini indicated that the implementation of the integrated programme with the University of Arizona aims to enhance functional and institutional performance and improve the system, by building a community of trainers capable of transferring knowledge and experiences to national cadres, and the implementation of this programme comes within the efforts of the Partnership for Development Programme ( Offset) at the Ministry of Finance, within the framework of transferring modern technology and building national competencies in various sectors, through partnerships with international institutions and companies.


Dr Yasmine al Balushi, Director of ‘Training a Certified Leadership Instructor’ programme, explained that the aim of the programme was to qualify Omani trainers to build qualified national capabilities in providing leadership programmes at the local, regional and global levels. She pointed out the importance of forming a database of high-quality trainers for training who focus on quality rather than quantity so as to transfer knowledge and skills to achieve sustainability in implementing leadership programmes.


Abdullah bin Mohammad al Abri, Director-General of Partnership and Privatisation Unit at the Ministry of Finance, explained that the programme enhances the spirit of leadership and marginal management, and to develop the work mechanisms of middle administrations in the state’s administrative apparatus.
