SALALAH: The 2nd Green Transport Forum will be held in Salalah (Dhofar Governorate) on September 19, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has announced. This event aims to enhance cooperation in the field of green transport among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, building on regional efforts to adopt sustainable practices in the transport sector.
The forum, organized by the ministry, will focus on three main objectives. The first is to strengthen cooperation between Gulf countries in sustainable transport. The second is to exchange expertise and best practices in this crucial area. The third objective is to develop joint projects that support green transport, contributing to reducing the carbon footprint and promoting environmental sustainability in the region.
The forum is expected to see wide participation from government officials, transport and environment sector experts, as well as representatives from private companies specializing in the development of environmentally friendly transport technologies.
