

MUSCAT: The 2024 Summer Programme, titled 'Summer of Ambitions and Values,' commenced on Sunday at the South Al Sharqiyah Education Department. Running from July 14 to July 25, the programme aims to engage 574 students from the governorate, ranging from seventh to twelfth grade, across four summer centres.
At the Lubaba Summer Centre in the Wilayat of Sur, students participated in a variety of training workshops, including pencil drawing, using environmental materials for artistic creations, musical skills, paper pulp painting, and the scientific method for problem-solving.
The Al Wafi Summer Center in the Wilayat of Al Kamil and Al Wafi offered workshops on intelligence applications, computer programs, and theater decor.
Meanwhile, the Al Rafaa Summer Centre in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Hassan provided sessions on innovation, artificial intelligence, photography basics, and debates. The Ramlat Umm Al Muminin Summer Centre in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali focused on reading text analysis, internet applications, debates, and colour fusion.
The summer program's goals are to utilise free time for beneficial learning, nurture and support students, and activate summer centres to discover and develop student talents.
It aims to refine students' personalities, strengthen their national identity, instill a sense of belonging and loyalty to their homeland and Sultan, enhance their skills and abilities, and serve the community through its various programmes. - ONA
