Plastic bags banned at pharmacies, hospitals from tomorrow

Muscat: The Environment Authority on Sunday said from tomorrow, July 1, use of plastic bags in health establishments will be banned.


During the first phase of the campaign, the authority will ban use of plastic bags in pharmacies, hospitals and clinics.


Failing to adhere to the rule may attract a fine of 50-1000 rials and will be doubled in case of repetition.
