

MADINAH: The Omani Haj Mission continues providing services to Omani pilgrims arriving in Madinah.
Abdulaziz bin Masoud al Ghafri, Deputy Head of the Omani Haj Mission for Pilgrims and Haj Companies Affairs, said that the Omani Hajj Mission is engaged in providing health and guidance services as well as supervising the Haj operators that began arriving by land and air.
He pointed out that some 5,500 Omani pilgrims have arrived in Madinah so far out of 7,013 pilgrims expected to arrive in Madinah.
The pilgrims are expected to visit the Prophet’s Mosque before heading to Makkah to perform the Haj rituals.
The Omani Haj Mission comprises 31 people representing the religious guidance delegation, the administrative and financial delegation, the Haj campaigns supervising delegation, the medical delegation, the Royal Oman Police delegation and the scout delegation.
Dr Ali bin Suleiman al Jahdhami, Deputy Head of the Fatwa and Religious Guidance Delegation, called on the pilgrims to keep on communicating with the Religious Supervision Delegation to avoid falling into the prohibitions of Haj.
This year, the number of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman stands at 14,000 including 13,500 Omanis, 250 Arab residents, and 250 non-Arabs while the number of licensed Haj operators reached 31. — ONA
