

MUSCAT: The Ambassador of Italy accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, Pierluigi D’Elia, celebrated the Italian National Day at Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel under the auspices of Khalid bin Hashil bin Mohammed al Muselhi, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, accompanied by an official delegation including members of the State Council and Majlis Ash'shura, the Armed Forces, the Foreign Ministry and other government entities.
The reception highlighted 52 years of friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation in many fields, including diplomatic relations, education, culture, economy, technology, sport and people. The event was attended by over 400 guests including officials, personalities and members of the Italian and Omani community.
On this occasion, Pierluigi D’Elia, Italian Ambassador to Oman, said: “Today we celebrate a successful 52 years old story of friendship, bilateral cooperation and harmony between two countries with a shared mission towards a solid commitment to international peace and security, prosperity, justice and human development."
