Muscat: The Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police arrested a truck driver of Asian nationality after a video clip showed he was driving in the opposite direction of traffic on the dual carriageway in the Wilayat of Adam

Legal procedures are being completed in the case, which is the second of its kind in recent times.

Earlier, last month due to the reckless action of a driver in the Wilayat of Liwa, a truck collided with eleven vehicles resulting in three deaths, including two citizens and an expatriate.

15 people were injured in the incident as the truck driver drove in the opposite direction of traffic.

The driver traveled a long distance against the direction of traffic.

The expatriate who died in a car accident was an Indian national and an admin manager in a private company. He was on his way back from Liwa to Suhar with his family to renew his resident card.

ROP tested the driver for physical and psychological conditions to determine the causes.
