

Algiers: The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union has appointed Dr Ahmed bin Alawi bin Hafeedh Baaboud as Secretary-General at its 36th conference which was held in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Dr Ahmed Baaboud held the position of Assistant Secretary-General for Committees and Information at Majlis Ash’shura from 2017 to 2020. He also held a number of positions and tasks during his work at Majlis Ash’shura for more than 20 years during the period (1997-2020).
Dr Ahmed Baaboud holds a doctoral degree in public law (constitutional and political systems) as well as a master’s degree in law specializing in rights (political and constitutional life) and a bachelor’s degree in law. — ONA
