MUSCAT: Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council affirmed the keenness of the Sultanate of Oman in actively participating in deliberations and activities of the Arab Parliament through its different committees.
This was stated when Al Khalili received on Sunday Adel Abdulrahman al Asoomi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament and his accompanying delegation.
The Chairman of the State Council, commended the important roles undertaken by the Arab Parliament in promoting the joint Arab action and its contributions to international parliamentary forums. He wished the Arab Parliament success in its efforts to realise more achievements in terms of strengthening Arab solidarity.
Al Khalili highlighted the existing cooperation between the Council of Oman and the Arab Parliament, which comes within the framework of strengthening joint Arab action.
For his part, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament stressed the support and role of the Sultanate of Oman and its active participation in various parliamentary activities, in addition to the role of the State Council and its appreciated contribution to improving the performance of the Arab Parliament. — ONA
