MUSCAT: The Third Al Assalah Towers Art Competition, held on March 29, witnessed the participation of 84 talented children aged 4-16 years from the Al Assalah Towers (Al Ghubra, Muscat) community. The event, organised during the blessed occasion of Ramadhan, aimed to foster creativity and strengthen community ties.

Supported by Prestige Properties, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, The Movers, Shah Nagardas, Kaldi 850 Coffee, Al Mnarh, 968 The Food Studio, Kesar Restaurant and Begum’s Restaurant, the competition provided a platform for young artists to showcase their talents.

Tarini Aggarwal, an award-winning artist renowned for her exceptional creativity, and Dr C Jawahar, an esteemed fine art professional and faculty from the Scientific College of Design, served as judges for the event. Their expertise and discernment ensured a fair and inspiring evaluation process. They also inspired and encouraged the young artists with valuable tips.

“The overwhelming response to this event reflects the vibrant spirit of our community and the deep-rooted appreciation for art and creativity,” mentioned Pragya Bhatnagar, a resident artist of Al Assalah Towers and organiser of the art event.

Emphasising the importance of such initiatives in nurturing young talent, attendees remarked that art is not just about aesthetics; it's about expression and imagination. Through this competition, the aim was to encourage young artists to explore their creativity freely.

The event culminated in a prize distribution ceremony attended by over 200 residents of Al Assalah Towers. Participants were honoured for their artistic endeavours, and winners were awarded with trophies, certificates of merit and attractive prizes.
