MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman's total domestic production and import of natural gas reached more than 4.190 billion cubic metres until end of January 2024, a decrease of 7.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2023 with 4.538 billion cubic metres.
Statistics showed that industrial projects accounted for 66.3 per cent of natural gas uses in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of January, amounting to 2.777 billion cubic metres.
The total use of natural gas for each of the oil fields reached 835.400 million cubic metres, power generation stations 555.500 million cubic metres, and industrial areas 21.800 million cubic metres.
The non-associated production of natural gas, including imports, amounted to 3.468 billion cubic metres, while the associated production amounted to 721.500 million cubic metres. — ONA
