Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) has warned against using a particular electric mixer brand.
"It poses a risk to consumer safety due to manufacturing defects and the electric mixer produced by BlendJet 2 does not comply with the Gulf technical regulations for low-voltage electrical devices Sultanate of Oman, " a statement said.
The ministry, represented by the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology, has taken measures to verify the dangers of the electric blender produced by the BlendJet 2 brand in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), including withdrawing the product from the market.
