Muscat - The number of visitors to the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate dropped from 208,423 visitors in 2022 to 205,992 visitors in 2023.
According to the National Center for Statistics and Information showed that the number of Omanis who visited the wilayat in 2023 was 102,241 visitors, followed by Saudi tourists 13,430, Kuwaiti visitors 1,218, Emirati visitors 951 visitors, Bahraini visitors was 554, and Qatari 729.
Statistics indicated that the number of visitors of other Arab nationalities was 6,784, while the number of visitors from foreign nationalities was 80,085.
The number of existing and licensed hotel establishments (3-5 stars) in Al Jabal Al Akhdar is 20, including nine hotels and resorts, one hotel apartment facility, two heritage lodges, and eight guest houses, and the total number of rooms in these facilities are 726 rooms of various sizes.
