Muscat: In total during holidays, the Oman Across Ages Museum (OAAM) in Manah received more than 23,700 visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman, including 11,800 visitors on the first day.
Muzna bint Sulaiman al Hosaniyah, OOAM said that the museum administration was fully prepared to receive a large number of visitors during this holiday with measures such as extending visiting hours and assigning additional employees.
As a cultural landmark, the Museum transports visitors through the nation’s 800 million-year history through a series of immersive, high-tech experiences. The building emerges from its earthen landscape plane as a series of angular, geometric volumes that sit in dialogue with the encompassing backdrop of the peaks and ridges of the Al Hajar Mountain range.
In harmony with the architecture, the exhibition design celebrates Oman’s rich heritage from prehistory to the modern day using the latest immersive technologies.
Meanwhile, the popular Wadi Bani Khalid received over 12,774 visitors during the first three days of the National Day holidays.
The visitors included 4,845 citizens, 4,857 Asian nationals, 2,606 European nationals, and 427 other Arab nationalities.
Also, around 8,000 people visited the Bahla Fort, while on the first day of the holiday.
