The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) that heavy thundershowers associated with strong downdraft wind during this night and on Sunday morning over the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Musandam.


The CAA advices all to take precautions during thundershowers and heavy rain and not to cross wadis and to avoid low-lying areas and not venture into the sea during the alert period.


Classes will be suspended in all public, private and foreign schools in the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah on Sunday and will resume on Monday due to these governorates being affected by a depression.
