ITHCA signs cooperation pact with Saudi telecom firm

MUSCAT: ITHCA Group signed a cooperation agreement with Integrated Telecom Company, (Salam) on Tuesday. The agreement aims to enhance mutual cooperation in the field of connecting international interconnection cables and expanding international land connectivity between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


The signing falls within the framework of ITHCA Group’s participation in LEAP 2024 tech event, held in Riyadh on March 4-7, 2024.


The agreement was signed by Eng Said bin Abdullah al Mandhari, CEO of ITHCA Group, and Eng Ahmed al Anqari, CEO of Salam.


From his side, Al Mandhari stated: Through this partnership, both ITHCA Group and Salam will work on enabling international land connectivity between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by laying cross-border land cables. ITHCA Group will undertake the investment, financing and implementation of the work phases of the project from the Omani side. This will be carried out through one of the group’s companies, which is Oman Data Networks (DATAOM), whereas Salam will non-exclusively carry out the project from the Saudi side.


Integrated Telecom Company (Salam) is one of the telecommunication companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that provides various telecommunication products and services to its customers in the country.


DATAOM is one of the companies under ITHCA Group and operates in the field of international connectivity and international submarine cables in addition to related services involving the transportations, wholesale and provision of various telecommunication products and services in the Sultanate of Oman.
