MUSCAT: The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs hosted the Muscat Arbitration Workshop 2024 on February 28 in collaboration with Three Crowns LLP and Decree, under the patronage of Dr Yahya Nasser Al Khusaibi, Under-Secretary, Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, and other senior officials from the public and private sector.
The workshop featured a keynote presentation by Prof Nassib Ziade’ on the recent developments and trends in the field of arbitration in the MENA region Panel discussions centred around the appointments and challenges of arbitrators, the recent developments in investor-state dispute settlement, as well as the efficient management of arbitration costs.
The event featured speakers and panelists from the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, Three Crowns LLP, Decree, OQ, SASLO, Oman Investment Authority, Oxy Oman, and Trowers & Hamlins.
This workshop was part of the efforts of the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs in spreading legal knowledge and contributing to the capacity building of legal professionals in the public and private sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.
