Muscat: Legendary Indian singer Pankaj Udhas has passed away at the age of 72. He was reportedly battling a prolonged illness.


The news of the ghazal singer’s sudden demise was shared by his family. The statement, shared by his daughter Nayaab, reads, “With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhar on February 26, 2024, due to a prolonged illness.”


Pankaj Udhas was best known for his ghazals like Chitti Ayi Hai and Chandi Jaisa Rang.
