Oman Club defeated Sur 2-1 on Saturday in the 11th round of the Oman Football League (OFL) at the Sur Complex Stadium. Oman Club started the first half with the better of the play, pressing hard and winning the ball back quickly. They had several chances to take the lead but were denied by some good goalkeeping. Sur played defensively and looked to hit Oman on the counter-attack, but they failed to create any clear-cut chances. The first half ended in goalless draw.

Oman Club started the second half in the same scenario as the first and they were rewarded for their efforts when Osama Aqar scored in the 72nd minute. After the goal, both teams exchanged attacks and Nasser al Rawahi scored the second goal for Oman in the 85th minute. Sur pulled one back in the 92nd minute through Robert Jansa, but it was too little too late as Oman held on for a 2-1 victory.

The win moved Oman Club up to third place in the standings with 22 points, level on points with second-placed Al Nahda but behind on goal difference. Sur remains in 10th place with 10 points.

In another match on Saturday, Seeb defeated Al Shabab 3-1 at the Rustaq Sports Complex.

Al Seeb Club started the first half with an attacking approach in an attempt to snatch the match points and maintain their lead in the league. They faced a defensive style from the home team, Al-Shabab Club. In the 8th minute, Seeb Club managed to score the first goal through player Frank Williams from a quick counterattack. After the goal, Al-Shabab Club tried to change their playing style and put pressure on Seeb's goal in order to equalise. After several attacks launched by Al Shabab players, Majid al Saadi succeeded in scoring the equalising goal. Following the equaliser, both teams exchanged a series of attacks, during which Seeb Club managed to score the second goal through Frank Williams, ending the first half with Seeb leading 2-1.

Seeb continued to press in the second half and they were rewarded for their efforts when Frank William scored his second goal of the game in the 70th minute. Al Shabab tried to find a way back into the match, but they were unable to break down the Seeb defence. In the 90th minute, Abdulaziz al Muqbali added a third goal for Seeb to seal a 3-1 victory.

The win took Seeb to the top of the standings with 26 points, while Al-Shabab remains in ninth place with 10 points.

The match between Seeb and Al Shabab marked the end of the first round of the Oman Football League, which is being contested by only 12 teams this season following the withdrawal of Al Suwaiq and Al Musannah for financial reasons.
