MUSCAT: The draw for the Oman Corporate League OCL 2023 football tournament in its third edition took a place with the participation of 26 teams at the Qantab Hall in Al Bustan Palace Hotel on Sunday.
The teams are from companies operating in Oman in its various sectors.
The draw ceremony was held under the auspices of Ahmed bin Mohammed al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality , along with Walid al Obaidani, President of the International Socca Federation in the Middle East, in addition to a number of sports figures and representatives of participating companies.
The participating teams were divided into eight groups in categories A and B. The team that won the championship (category A) will qualify to participate in the International Socca Championship in Mexico early next year, organised and supervised by the Sport Makers.
The tournament begins on October 22, at the PDO playground.
The PDO team won the OCL championship title in its previous two editions, which qualified it to represent the Sultanate of Oman in the Socca World Cups.
