Muscat: Oman Meteorology has warned of high sea waves (rough sea) on the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the coasts of the Sea of Oman, between February 18 and February 21.


The sea will be moderate/rough, with waves (2.0-2.5) meters coinciding with active northwesterly winds.


Oman Met urged seagoers to check the sea condition before practicing marine activities.


North-westerly winds are expected to begin in the governorates of Musandam, North al Batinah, and al Buraimi, gradually extending to include most of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman on February 21,


and active south-westerly winds on the coast of the Arabian Sea.


A relative drop in temperatures is expected, especially in mountainous and desert areas, coinciding with active northwesterly winds.
