MUSCAT: PDO beat Ideal International by 76 runs in the opening game of the B Division League 2023-24 powered by Al Ansari Group of Companies.
Shoukat Ali’s whirlwind 114 off 79 balls helped PDO post a total of 236 all out in 29.5 overs. Jangid Manoj was the pick of the bowlers for Ideal International picking 5-11 in his 2.5 overs. In return, Ideal International could only post 160 all out in 25.2 overs with Deepak Bhandari as top-scorer with 36 runs. Two wickets each for Asad Amin, Umair Hassan and Qalab Abbas ensured the victory for PDO.
In the F Division League, Al Danube dominated Mazoon Dairy claiming victory by 6 wickets with 8 overs remaining.
Bundling down Mazoon Dairy to a paltry 93, Mohammad Irfan picked 4 wickets while Sihab and Naik Abdul claimed 2 wickets each. Ameer N was the top-scorer for Mazoon Dairy jotting 26 of 19 balls. In return, Al Danube chased the target in 12 overs with Arif Hussain scoring 41 of 38 balls taking Danube to a comfortable victory.
In the A Division League powered by Khimji Ramdas, OCT Ruwi trounced Orient Travels by 4 wickets and 15.4 overs to spare.
In the C Division powered by Credit Oman, Musandam Power edged past Al Muthla Golden by 6 wickets and 7 balls remaining.
