MUSCAT: Khoula Hospital obtained the international certificate of the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) under the theme “Together to support breastfeeding for healthier generations”. Accordingly, Khoula Hospital ended up being the first government hospital in Oman to get this accreditation. The Ministry of Health also celebrated the occasion in a ceremony held under the auspices of Dr Said Harib Al Lamki, Under-Secretary for Health Affairs. It is worth mentioning that the BFHI is an international accreditation programme launched in 1991 by the WHO and the Unicef. - ONA
