In this regard, Oman's role is crucial, and a simple 'thank you' is insufficient to express appreciation for its tireless efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, efforts that are respected by all international institutions and organizations.
For example, Oman's expertise in promoting dialogue and cooperation among countries stems from the country's friendly policies, which are a result of the strong pillars laid down by its leaders. Oman has been working tirelessly to cultivate good and equal relations with other countries, adopting a policy of good neighborliness and non-interference in others' internal affairs, and demonstrating respect for international law, conventions, and customs.
There is a strong desire among the leadership and the people of Oman to nurture and further strengthen friendships with the people of the world. With this in mind, I extend my gratitude to the people of Oman. Oman's stance and approach to friendship derive from the Late Sultan Qaboos bin Said’s vision of Oman as a friend to all, and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has promised to follow the same vision for the promotion of ‘peaceful coexistence between nations’.
With its firm foundations and principles supporting the rights and justice of the people, and a desire to work together with other peace-loving countries to promote peace and stability, Oman has built a foreign policy that countries around the world admire and respect. As an active member in all international organizations of the United Nations, Oman prioritizes respect for international laws and conventions, and supports cooperation between countries and regions.
With these unique characteristics, the Omani people hold a special place in the community of nations. During these challenging times when the world is grappling with regional chaos, Oman has taken a commendable stance to play a role in peacemaking among nations.
Oman's strategic geographical location has an impact on linking it with many countries overlooking the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. This, in turn, shapes its foreign policy and relations with neighboring and other countries, reflecting on the safety of navigation and freedom of transit, thereby preserving the security and stability of the region.
The visionary leadership of the Late Sultan Qaboos, followed by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, adopting a consistent and cordial approach, has helped Oman establish friendly relations with the entire world, characterized by bonds of friendship. To this date, Oman continues to play a 'constructive' and 'proactive' role in creating a sustainable environment for peace and security in the region.
