NAKHAL: Wakan village in the Wilayat of Nakhal, the Al Batinah South Governorate, is witnessing a large turnout of visitors from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad during the winter season.
During 2023, the number of visitors to Wakan village exceeded 32,000 visitors from different nationalities, according to the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
Dr Al Mutasim bin Nasser al Hilali, Director General of Heritage and Tourism in the Al Batinah South Governorate said that the weather in Wakan is relatively cold, which is similar to the weather in some villages of the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar. — ONA
