Oman sees 30% increase in hotel guests in 2023

Muscat - The revenues of (3-5) star hotels Sultanate of Oman were RO204,187,000 at the end of November 2023, compared to RO161,262,000 at the end of November 2022, an increase of 26.6 percent, according to the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).


The number of hotel guests increased 30.3 percent to 1,883,993 by the end of November 2023, compared to 1,446,189 guests in 2022, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of nine percent.


The number of Omani guests was 716,585, an increase of 11.3 percent, while the number of Gulf guests increased by 27.9 percent, recording 185,671.


The number of European guests increased by 47.1 percent to 447,033.


The number of American guests was 52,021, while the number of guests from the African continent was 10,588 (up 35.6 percent).


The number of Asian guests also increased by 41.8 percent to 270,320, and the number of guests from Oceania grew by 165.4 percent to 40,188 inmates.
