The second round of the Oman General Basketball League 2023-24 witnessed remarkable victories, with Ahli Sidab defeating Salalah with a score of 85-53 and Al Seeb surpassing Nizwa with a score of 86-49. The games, held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, showcased intense competition and outstanding performances.


In the first match, Ahli Sidab dominated the first three quarters, before Salalah made a slight comeback in the fourth quarter.


Ahli Sidab started the game by taking the lead and scoring two points through Sami al Ghilani with a shot from under the basket, while the first quarter ended with Ahli Sidab leading 23-14.


The second quarter did not bring anything new as Ahli Sidab continued to dominate both defensively and offensively, widening the gap ending with Ahli Sidab leading 47-24.


In the third quarter, Ahli Sidab maintained their superiority, scoring 26 points, while Salalah scored 10 points, ending with Ahli Sidab leading 73-34.


In the fourth quarter, the game continued with Salalah making a push, but Ahli Sidab maintained their scoring advantage. Salalah's players scored 19 points, while Ahli Sidab scored 12 points, resulting in Ahli Sidab winning the match 85-53.


Al Seeb secures top spot in OBL


In the second match, Al Seeb managed to surpass Nizwa in an exciting game where the winner dominated in the first three quarters in terms of scoring and widening the gap. Nizwa could not stage a comeback in the fourth quarter, and the result remained unchanged. while with these results, Al Seeb tops the rankings with 22 points.


Al Seeb started the game aggressively. Al Seeb extended the lead by adding 18 points, while Nizwa added 10 points, ending the first quarter with Al Seeb leading 22-12.


In the second quarter, Al Seeb's superiority continued, and their players managed to score points. Al Seeb added 19 more points, while Nizwa scored 8 points. The first half ended with Al Seeb leading 44-22.


In the third quarter, Al Seeb's players continued to pressure Nizwa and scored more points, adding 28 points. Nizwa scored only 8 points to end with 72-30.


In the fourth quarter, the game continued with both teams attacking, but Nizwa had an advantage in scoring, adding 19 points. Al Seeb added 14 points, and the match ended with Al Seeb defeating Nizwa 86-49.
