Scaling up your Investing for Impact

Bdnaash.com has made my life and the life of millions of people interested in sustainability around the world much easier.

All you have to do is, before you shop, to enter the name of the company you wish to do business with. Then, this portal will automatically show you whether the company you are about to give your money to supports the forced mass killing, starvation, dehydration and evictions.

Every Baisa or penny we spend makes a meaningful impact; this impact can be making life better for humanity, or God forbid our money can make bombs ethnically cleansing vulnerable populations around the world.

One day, all each of us will do is look back at everything we have done in our life, including the value our money has created, and wonder whether our impact is worth being our legacy and how we will be judged. There are three steps that can help us invest in a better impact, mainly investing in people who make products, services and innovations with no ties to supremacist practices, no matter where they are from.

Sustainable goods

We spend a good amount of money on tangible products for our daily use, from clothes and furnishings to technology products. Unfortunately, many manufacturing companies that lack principles and vision placed profit over humanity.

For example, many companies from our region and the West are donating to Zionist genocidal military campaign to ethnically cleanse Palestinians and Arabs. The deep hatred these supremacist campaigns are sowing, due to the live coverage of children, women and men blown up by 2,000 pound bombs, means that current and future generations will rightfully fight to defend themselves and restore their dignity no matter how powerful and rich genocidal forces are. We have a duty to divest, not only from any weapons company involved in making

These bombs but also divesting from companies in the supply chains that assist in oppressing vulnerable people. The alternative for us is to ask and invest our money in companies that intentionally help entrepreneurs plant, make and create products not stained with any unfair and unjust practice.

Sustainable services

Services in general and digital economy applications in particular the backbone of today and tomorrow’s economy. Delivery, ride hailing, and accommodation apps have a responsibility not to be digital and criminal at the same time by supporting killing and theft by investing in illegal settlements in the land of Palestinians. We have many options of investing in digital services that support local entrepreneurs, and in international businesses that respect human life and the more sustainable, local supply chains.

Innovations

We are witnessing one of the most historic and unique opportunities to positively support a more principled and reliable supply chain. These opportunities must envision a future beyond “buying local” campaigns or promoting local content development or In-Country Value (ICV). We learned from Covid-19 Pandemic that supply chains that lack vision are fragile, which disrupts and raises the cost of living for all of us.

Now, with hundreds of companies in the US, the UK and the EU and around the world killing and persecuting innocent people merely for yearning to freedom it’s an opportunity for each and everyone of us to invest in a “global impact investing campaign” so that we can divest from oppression, and leave a positive impact and legacy. We will benefit greatly from putting our money where our humanity is, mainly in the more sustainable enterprises, from everywhere around the world, that show respect for every human life, and value belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion.
