Oman participates in Global Research Council meeting

DOHA: Represented by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the Sultanate of Oman participated in the 2023 Global Research Council’s meeting for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The meeting was held in Doha.


Oman was represented at the meeting by Dr Saif bin Abdullah bin Sulaiman al Haddabi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Research and Innovation.


The Ministry submitted a scholarly paper presented by Dr Issa bin Salim al Shabibi, Director of the Research and Innovation Programmes Department.


The paper expressed the ministry’s view on sustainability of scholarly research. It focused on the importance of education, awareness, political factors, global challenges, digital innovation and other factors that achieve the sustainability of sciences and scholarly research.


The ministry’s participation in the meeting was aimed at consolidating bilateral cooperation and exchanging experiences, knowledge and visions in the fields of research and innovation. It also sought to establish international partnerships and contribute to innovative solutions. — ONA
