Under the leadership of Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, the governorate has recently witnessed the rollout of several promising projects, including an integrated commercial centre in Basia and a multifaceted hub encompassing commerce, tourism, and recreation in Hail al Yemen.

An advanced public transport station in Nizwa is also underway, showcasing the region's commitment to progress through innovative design-build-finance-transfer (DBFT) initiatives.


Many works are in the pipeline that promises the completion of significant projects, notably the Greater Nizwa undertaking and the development of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and various government entities.

The ongoing efforts also include road construction to ease access to tourist destinations and the preparation of archaeological sites, reflecting the governorate's dedication to preserving its rich heritage.
