Al Jabal al Akhdhar stands out for its favourable climate and natural beauty, with the village of Al Suwjara emerging as an adventure tourist destination. Jabal Shams, Misfat al Abriyeen, Al Hoota Cave, and the Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah further enrich the tapestry of tourist offerings.
In addition to its cultural wealth, the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate plays a pivotal role in Oman's agricultural landscape. The governorate experiences diverse harvest seasons, including pomegranates and roses in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar, apricots in Jabal Shams, olives, wheat, and sugarcane cultivation, contributing significantly to the country's food security.

Municipal development remains a key focus, with projects addressing internal roads, commercial areas, slaughterhouses, markets, entrances, afforestation, gardens, parks, and industrial zones. As of October 2022, the cumulative cost of municipal projects reached RO 22,168,293, underscoring the commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the region's residents.
