Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Friday received a phone call from President Joe Biden of the United States of America.
During the call, areas of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries were reviewed, as well as the exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, most notably the developments occurring in the Palestinian arena.

His Majesty the Sultan stressed the need to stop military operations in Gaza and the West Bank, to protect civilians, to give humanitarian consideration the highest priority, and to emphasize the need to rely on international legitimacy, international humanitarian law, and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.
