Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman participated in a meeting of Arab foreign ministers held in Riyadh to prepare for an extraordinary session of the Arab Summit on Thursday.

Oman’s delegation at the meeting was headed by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Foreign Ministry’s Under-Secretary for Political Affairs.

The meeting discussed the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, a quest for urgent solutions towards a ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the stricken population there. The decisions will be presented to leaders of Arab countries at an emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held on Saturday.

Oman’s delegation at the meeting included HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, Ambassador of Oman to Saudi Arabia; Abdullah bin Nasser al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt; and its permanent representative to the Arab League, and a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry. — ONA
