5 killed in Haima road accident

Muscat: The emergency department at Haima Hospital in the Al Wusta Governorate has reported that 5 people were killed in a road accident on Tuesday evening.


One person was injured in the same accident.


It may be noted that collisions between vehicles and crashing against fixed objects are seen as the major cause of accidents in the Sultanate, according to the National Centre of Statistics and Information (NCSI).


There were 76,200 traffic accidents in 2022.
