Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) will announce winners of the 10th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts, and Literature in a press conference to be held on Wednesday, November 8.
The 10th round was allocated to Arab contestants, who competed in fields such as media and communication studies in the ‘Culture category’, film direction in the ‘Arts category’, and novels for the ‘Literature’.
Meanwhile, the iconic award was established in 2011, in appreciation of the late Sultan Qaboos of Oman and Arab intellectuals, artists, and writers, for their cultural contributions to renewing thought and elevating human conscience, and in support of the fields of culture, art and literature as they are a way to enhance human civilizational progress.
The award is designated for competition for Omanis for one year and alternatively for Arabs in general.
