Muscat: As part of the Environment Authority’s endeavors to suppress the spread of agricultural pests in Dhofar Governorate, a dedicated campaign to control pests will be carried out during the month of November.
The drive aims at treating 1,000 ageing trees infested by parasites and pests, including termites and capnodis.
Meanwhile, the governorate-based drive will cover some main cities, which are the Wilayat of Mirbat, Wilayat of Taqah, and Wilayat of Salalah.
The pests control project will cover certain trees, including Acacia and Baobab trees.
