MUSCAT: The horse ‘Fatenah’ owned by Royal Cavalry snatched the first place in the Eighth-round competition, which was called Prix Jean Laborde. The race was allocated for Purebred Arabian Horses over a distance of 1,400 metres, at Bordeaux-Le Puscat track in France on Sunday.
‘Fatenah’ led by the jockey Michael Forrest and the supervision by Senchaz. The second place was achieved by’ Adelbar’ owned by Jules Aoki, led by the jockey Thomas Demolet and supervision by Valentin Segui. The third place claimed by ‘Madarasah’ owned by Khalifa Rabeh al Shammari, led by the jockey Jean Bernard and under supervision of Golemen.
On the other hand, Sayyid Munthir bin Saif bin Hamad al Busaidy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation, received Dr Juma bin Ahmed al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, at the headquarters of the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation on Sunday.
During the meeting, they exchanged about supporting in equestrian sports in general, which contributes to develop the equestrian race locally and internationally.
They activated Oman, Bahrain partnerships in various equestrian competitions and provide the best services to advance equestrian sports. Where also discussed future plans for developing equestrian sports in order to serve this ancient sport, advance it, and place it in proper position.
The two sides reviewed aspects of joint cooperation in all equestrian sports, whether endurance, show jumping, tent pegging, horse literature, and horse beauty.
In conclusion, Sayyid Munthir bin Saif al Busaidy presented a souvenir to Dr Juma bin Ahmed al Kaabi for his interest and support the equestrian sports.
