Muscat: A’Sharqiyah University has achieved a significant academic milestone by entering the QS Arab Region University Ranking for the 2024 edition. The official results were announced during the Arab Forum held from 13th to 15th October, 2023, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In its first entry in this prestigious global ranking, A’Sharqiyah University secured a ranking in the range of 171-200 among universities in the Arab Region. This ranking is based on the University's academic and employer reputation, both locally and internationally; as well as its research performance, which includes research output, impact, and research collaboration. Other ranking criteria include the percentage of academic staff with doctoral degrees, the ratio of academic staff to students, the percentage of international academic staff and students, and the University's online presence.
This achievement is a recognition of A’Sharqiyah University’s dedicated efforts to enhance its position in international university ranking platforms via improving its academic programs, promoting a culture of research and innovation, and contributing to the development of the knowledge economy in line with the University's vision, mission, and ambitious strategic plan for 2020-2025 which are aligned to Oman's Vision 2040.
