New initiative brings weather groups together

The Civil Aviation Authority has established a national group that brings together all representatives of the weather groups present in Oman with their heads and representatives of the groups, in order to unify the naming of winter depressions. It is called the Friends of Oman Meteorology Initiative.

The CAA held a meeting for representatives of weather enthusiasts in Oman for naming winter depressions. This has also enhanced the community partnership with weather enthusiasts.

At the meeting that was held on October 3 with representatives of weather groups in the Sultanate of Oman, it was decided to establish a national group that brings together all representatives of weather groups in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Rasda Project supervises the management of this national group for weather enthusiasts. So now the National Group of Weather Amateurs, represented by the Rasda Project will name the winter depressions in coordination with the competent authority, the Civil Aviation Authority.

There is great excitement amongst the groups and one of the enthusiasts on his social media handle said, “We congratulate everyone on this step in the service of the nation, and God willing, the efforts will be crowned with success.”
