Mucscat: The Municipal Council of Muscat Governorate has approved some types of commercial activities that can be conducted in residential neighborhoods, which include nursery and kindergarten activities.
The council said such activities did not comply with the standards of the spaces specified for them with commercial spaces.
In its meeting held under the chairmanship of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, the Council approved its recommendations on the governorate’s development projects for 2023. It also decided to form a working group to study solutions to the problems of the wadis in the governorates.
The recommendations of the four Municipal Council committees were reviewed, including the Social Affairs Committee’s proposal to adopt a national awareness campaign to protect society from the dangers of social networking sites, based on the study prepared by the Omani Socialists Association.
The meeting also decided to rehabilitate the Wadi Darsait stream and benefit from its running water.
