Muscat: The Higher Education Admissions Center, HEAC, has initiated the registration process for available academic positions and new educational programmes in the second round of admissions for the academic year 2023/2024. The HEAC is extending this opportunity primarily to students with a General Education Diploma or an equivalent qualification, urging them to consider these openings carefully and apply if they meet specific eligibility criteria. These criteria include students who have yet to enroll in the unified admission system or individuals who either didn't receive an offer in the initial selection process or received an offer but still need to complete the registration formalities or withdraw their acceptance.

The second round of registration commenced on Sunday and will continue until next Sunday, October 8, 2023. Within this timeframe, students can conveniently utilize the online system to submit their applications for available positions and make their selections regarding their preferred study programs. Furthermore, they are granted the flexibility to amend their previous choices if they desire to do so. To identify the available programs, students can refer to the details provided in this announcement and utilize the program selection interface within the electronic unified admission system.

It is important to highlight that applying for positions in foreign missions, Sultan Qaboos University, educational specialisations, and health specializations necessitates that students maintain a competitive average higher than the last student admitted in the first round for these programs. It's also noteworthy that the second round of admissions results will be officially announced on Thursday, October 19, 2023. The commencement date for students successfully admitted during this round will be determined based on the academic calendar of the institution to which they gain admission.
