MUSCAT: GCC under-secretaries of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on Wednesday held their 8th meeting under the chairmanship of Dr Wa’il bin Saif al Harrasi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
The under-secretaries discussed consolidating ethical and family values in GCC communities, as well as cementing the concept of cooperation among ministries and organisations of Awqaf, Islamic and religious affairs.
The meeting also discussed joint topics concerned with Awqaf, Islamic and religious affairs, exchanging research and experiences in Awqaf field among the members and exchanging expertise in Islamic and religious affairs. The meeting also underscored the importance of joint cooperation and sharing ideas that would strengthen ties among the GCC states in various spheres. — ONA
