Muscat: Pakistan celebrates its 76th Independence Day on Monday with flag-hoisting ceremonies, rallies, and other events planned by the government to mark the day.
While President Arif Alvi will hoist the national flag at a ceremony at the President’s House, the traditional flag hoisting ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office will not be held this year as the caretaker Anwaarul Haq Kakar will take oath on Monday.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sent a cable of congratulations to President Arif Alvi of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.
