Following medicines to be sold OTC without prescriptions

Muscat: The Minister of Health has issued a decision No 198/2023 specifying the drugs that may be dispensed without a prescription.


Article one states that pharmacies may - exclusively - dispense over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, which are shown in Appendix (1) attached to this decision without a prescription, and commercial stores may also sell over-the-counter (General Sales List (GSL)) medicines, which are shown in Appendix (2).


This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into effect from the day following the date of its publication.
