Heavy rains lash parts of Oman

Muscat: The latest satellite maps show the formation of rain clouds in the mountainous areas of the governorates Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North and South Al Batinah, Al-Dakhiliyah, and Muscat, which may lead to active downward winds, low horizontal visibility, and the flow of wadis.

For the past two days, Al Dhahirah Governorate has been witnessing rain in a number of wilayats, including in Ibri.

Oman Meteorology said that there are opportunities for cumulus clouds and thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds on the Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas during the afternoon and evening, with chances of sporadic rain in parts of the Dhofar Governorate.
