The diversity of the topographical nature of Oman provides tourists with multiple options that enable them to move between the various governorates.
Away from high temperatures, there are tourist sites that are characterised by mild weather. Al Jabal Al Akhdar, Jabal Shams, Al Sharqi Beaches, and Dhofar Governorate, count among these and are currently experiencing Khareef season.
The Telegraph Island in the far north of Oman is located amidst charming nature, which is surrounded by tall mountains and blue warm waters. This island is located in Khoor Sham, one of the most famous lagoons in the Musandam Governorate.
After a short boat ride, it is possible to reach this island, which provides an opportunity for visitors to contemplate the mountainous terrain and geological formations of the Musandam Governorate.
Khoor Sham, with its marine islands, scattered villages, and fish complexes, is one of the most beautiful destinations frequented by tourists from all over the world.
During this trip, tourists can camp and watch dolphins in glee. Rowing and diving enthusiasts can also enjoy stunning views of coral reefs, fish, marine creatures, and underwater rocky cave formations.
Khoor Sham extends about 20 km, and while roaming this site, the visitor encounters ‘Telegraph Island’, which is a historical tourist attraction famous for Musandam, as it serves as a stopping point for tourist tours in the creek, informing them about geological nature, terrain, and topographical formations.
“I planned for my trip about a year ago. I allocated a week to visit Dhofar Governorate, then I spent some days in Muscat, Bani Khalid, Nazwa, Bahla, and Jabal Shams. My goal from this trip to Musandam is to discover geological and archaeological sites in this beautiful province. I practiced diving hobby near this island and enjoyed watching various types of marine life. I also visited a number of old stone houses locally called ‘Bait Al Qufl’. Oman is a first-class tourist interface”, says a tourist from UAE.
At the height of the tourist season until Khareef ends, visitors to Salalah do not hesitate to plan a visit to dozens of natural sites in the Sultanate. Some tourists seek support for facilitating procedures for tourists and providing tourist guidance points along the roads leading to the entrances.
