

SUHAR: The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, through the Directorate General of Culture, Sports, and Youth in North Al Batinah Governorate, organised the second edition of the 'Masar' programme under the theme of 'Empowerment, Leadership, and Innovation.' The programme commenced on Thursday at the Sports Complex in Suhar and concluded on Saturday.
Fatima bint Rashid al Fazaria, Assistant Director of Sports and Youth Activities at the Directorate General of Culture, Sports, and Youth in North Al Batinah Governorate, highlighted that the objective of the 'Masar' programme is to equip young people with the knowledge and skills required to venture into the realm of entrepreneurship. The programme aims to motivate participants to apply their newfound knowledge and skills by initiating their own projects.
She further stated, "The programme is part of our ongoing efforts to create an enabling business environment for young talents, fostering fertile ground for investment and the creation of value-added employment opportunities."
Ahmed bin Rashid al Muqbali, Head of the Youth Activity Department, explained that the programme targets 30 young men and women from the governorate. Participants engage in a series of workshops covering topics such as effective leadership, trust-building, ice-breaking exercises, entrepreneurship, distinguishing entrepreneurial qualities, and the art of negotiation and persuasion.
In addition to the workshop sessions, the programme also includes various sports events such as futsal, basketball, and table tennis.
It is worth noting that the first edition of the 'Masar' programme achieved success by enabling young people to venture into entrepreneurship and inspiring them to put their knowledge and skills into practice by launching their own projects. - ONA
