Muscat: The first National Employment Programme, aimed at preparing local youth for future job market challenges and fostering a work culture, was launched under the auspices of Dr. Khamis bin Saif al Jabri, Head of the Follow Up Unit of Vision 2040.

The program, named 'Khatwa,' is a crucial initiative that seeks sustainable solutions to provide job opportunities for young Omanis across all sectors.

During the launch event at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, the first interactive national electronic platform for career guidance was also unveiled. Eng. Azhar bin Ahmed al Kindi, Technical Director of the National Employment Programme, emphasized that this platform aims to enhance the efficiency of career guidance services in Oman, aligning educational outputs with the actual needs of the labor market.

Scientific research confirms the positive impact of career counseling programs, which assist individuals in making informed academic and professional decisions and contribute to the readiness of educational institutions' graduates for the job market. These programs play a vital role in fostering a highly qualified human resource, promoting economic growth, and achieving professional success and satisfaction.
